An online business is probably the cheapest way to start a home business but don't think that you should work any less at it then any other business.
Online doesn't mean no human interaction. We can all learn to make videos and to write great copy but you still need to pick up that phone occasionally.
True, introverts have many tools on the Internet to be able to interact without ever having to talk to anyone. They have the social media networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. They have blogs, group networking and chat sites. In fact these days they can get away without ever having to communicate face to face with anyone if they so want.
When I decided I was going to find an online business I picked some of the best ones to research but was only impressed with the representatives who actually took the trouble to call me for a chat. If they called and I was not available then they would call again, their persistance impressed me, not annoyed me, after all I was interested in the business; I was the one who wanted to change my financial situation.
So when do you think is the right time to make that call?
Of-course, if your Network Marketing business relies on the hard sell then you need to make the call as soon as as you can.
But if you are calling just to introduce yourself and to have a chat with your prospect; to talk to them about their plans and what they want from the business, then I would say sooner is still better than later.
Even when your system is doing a pretty good job of engaging with your prospect it can not take the place of human interaction. So listen to your instinct and don't be afraid to take a risk. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience with my prospects on the telephone, they are always very nice even when they are not really interested.
If you have read The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson then you will know that it is the small things that are so easy to do that make a difference but the trouble is that they are so easy not to do. How many times have you made an excuse like, I'll do it later, I've got a headache or they're probably in bed?
He who refuses to embrace a unique opportunity loses the prize as surely as if he had FAILED, Napoleon Hill.
So "Nervous" you may be but believe in what you are offering to these lucky people. If you are passionate about the product then they will sense that and your "magnetic attractiveness" will draw them to you.
Remeber don't imagine the worst scenario; it's wasted energy; it's not going to change anything is it?
So get on that phone and "smile and dial"!
